Nicole Cardoza was in our 2016 Fellow cohort, and is the Founder and Executive Director of Yoga Foster. Yoga Foster empowers school teachers with yoga for the classroom to foster healthier, happier schools. Since finishing the Camelback Fellowship, Nicole and Yoga Foster have announced an exciting partnership with lululemon and the Clinton Global Initiative to increase mindfulness training in classrooms.
Update: Since this was posted, Nicole, along with Fellows Jacob Allen (2015) and Jessica Santana (2015), was named in the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 in Education List.

What has been most surprising about your entrepreneurial journey?
There's far more I can accomplish than I ever thought possible.

You'll meet the best people who will become your friends, mentors, and support system.
Can you share with us a powerful experience that made you feel Yoga Foster is making an impact in the community?
A teacher lost her classroom to flooding. Many of their students lost their homes. She said that by practicing yoga on their yoga mats each day was a way to find the safety of home.
What is your go to source for inspiration?
The yoga mat.
What is the biggest challenge you’ve experienced as underrepresented entrepreneur?
No challenge. Just opportunity.
